Film on mental illness in South Asian communities in the works!
Happy 2009! On New Year’s day, SAY Campaign co-founder Geeta Raj, CHAI Director Razia Kosi and film-maker and activist Grace Poole with Shakti Productions (http://www.shaktiproductions.net/) met to discuss the making of a film. The film would document the rising crisis of mental illness, especially within South Asian communities, by telling true stories. There is a lack of documentation of stories on this issue.
